SAL Hospital & Medical Institute was founded in 2001 in Thaltej, Ahmedabad, with a simple promise: deliver advanced, ethical, compassionate healthcare to everyone who walks through our doors. Two and a half decades later, we are a 300-bed multi-specialty hospital with Centres of Excellence in Cardiac Sciences, Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery, Orthopaedics & Joint Replacement, Kidney & Renal Transplant, and Cancer Care.
For an international patient, what matters most is predictability: knowing that the surgeon who reviewed your reports is the one who will operate, that the price quoted is the price paid, and that someone accountable is available at every hour. Our International Patient Desk exists to guarantee exactly that.
We hold NABH accreditation (India’s highest hospital quality standard, recognised by international insurers) and NABL accreditation for our laboratory. Our clinical outcomes are audited, our infection rates are tracked and published internally, and our surgeons are among the most experienced in western India.

SAL Hospital is accredited by NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) — India’s highest quality standard, benchmarked with ISQua international principles — and our laboratory is NABL accredited (ISO 15189). Certificates are available on our homepage.
The consultant who reviews your reports and speaks to you on tele-consultation is the consultant who will operate. We do not delegate international patients to junior teams.
After reviewing your reports, we send a written package estimate covering surgeon fees, OT, implants, room, medicines, diagnostics and standard follow-up. Unless your clinical condition changes materially, that is the price you pay.
We work with several international insurers and TPAs and can provide the documentation needed for reimbursement. Please share your policy details with the International Desk and we will confirm.
