	Diabetic day awareness at SAL HOSPITAL on 14th November 2009
	Diabetic day was celebrated on 14TH Nov in SAL Hospital, Ahmedabad. Free random blood sugar was done to all patients, relatives of patients. More than 100 free tests were done. Education on diabetes was given to boarder line cases. Discounts were offered to patients on lipid profile tests & Hb1 Ag. Participants appreciated awareness spread on diabetes. Diabetes will be the single largest disease in India by year 2020. More than 25% of total population has chance of getting the same due to life style & food habits. Regular education programs are planned to educate patient’s preventive measures. Health privilege cards will be offered to help them do regular check up.
	CME on Heart Rate web cast by Dr. Paolo Platini of ITALY
	CME was conducted on 20th Nov heart rate “An important marker in Preventing CV Risk” by Dr Paolo Platini & web cast was shown to all in house doctors & visiting consultants. More than 28 doctors attended web cast from Hyderabad. It was followed by question & Answer session for delegates.
