	G.I. CAMP:
	SAL Hospital organized GI Camp, on 6th September, 2009. The Camp was organized at SAL Hospital premises. Approximately 154 patients registered for the camp and free consultation was given by the team of expert GI consultants – Dr. Hasmukh Vora, Dr. Rashmi Thakkar, Dr. Bhauman Maniar, Dr. Nehal Nayak, Dr. Premal Desai, Dr. Kaushal Vyas, Dr. Manoj Ghoda and Dr. Sanjay Rajput. More than 40 G I procedures were done at special concessional package rates. Many people could take the advantage of investigations by Endoscopic Ultra Sound which is First time in Ahmedabad at SAL hospital.
	Pediatric Camp:
	Pediatric Camp was arranged at SAL Hospital in the month of July with pediatric consultant Dr. Himanshu Joshi.
	Arthroscopy Camp:
	Arthroscopy camp was organized at SAL Hospital by Dr. Pritesh Shah ( MS ortho) on 28/6/2009. Patients who registered for this camp could take benefit of special package rates for the Day-Care programme.
	Ortho Camp:
	Ortho Camp at SAL Hospital between 20/4/2009 to 24/4/2009 with Dr. Swetal Bhavsar ( MS ortho).
	CARDIAC CAMP:
	SAL Hospital and Dr. Anil Jain & Team had arranged CME & cardiac camps at various locations – on 6thJune, 2009 at Udaipur, Rajasthan, on 6th September, 2009 at Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
	Workshop on EUS CAMP organized by SAL HOSPITAL
	Workshop on EUS was conducted at Hotel Country Inn Suites, Ahmedabad on 8th Nov for leading Surgeons of Ahmedabad. SAL hospital is 1ST to launch EUS in North Gujarat. Dr. Vipul Roy Rathod was invited as chief guest for the workshop. Program was attended by more than 120 leading Surgeons & 50 residents doctors. Live workshop was performed at SAL hospital OT & was shown live to all delegates at Country Inn Suite.
	EUS is preferred in diagnosis of early stage of cancer, Pancreatic ulcers & lymph’s in GI tract. EUS plays major role in detecting stones in GI tract & abnormalities in outer layer of Esophagus. Procedure was done on 10 patients followed by question & answers session by panel doctors. Doctors have shown great interest in referring the patients of recurrent GI problems patients to EUS. EUS will be done by team Gastro departments doctors of SAL Hospital on regular basis. Interested doctors / patients can contact SAL Hospital, Ahmedabad for the procedure thru EUS.
	New Angioplasty Technique Used by Dr. PRAKASHVEER PARIKH
	Angioplasty was conducted by Dr. Prakashveer Parikh in SAL Hospital, Ahmedabad on 14th Nov with the newer technique. He has performed Angioplasty on 3 patients. Famous cardiologist from France was present to support him using new techniques. New technique will help patients avoid open heart surgery complications.
